I actually love this coat! I really think J Crew put it on the wrong model. The girl it's on is gorgeous but she doesn't have the best posture and it can detract from the items she wears.
 
And a little note: I just hate the black backgrounds on JC's jewelry! In case you can't tell, the idea with the plum turtleneck is layers of gold beads and chains. With the skirt and cami it's the Jenna bracelet and the acorn bracelet.
